Jester...

Tessa had a little Thanksgiving program.  She looked so cute and did a great job.

Her class

Tacoma's 6th grade had a Renaissance day at school.  He was a Jester.  I couldn't believe he actually wore this to school.  He had a lot of fun with it.  The classes nominated kings, queens and servants.  When the kids entered the gym they all had to rise for the king and queen and the servers had to serve everyone the food.  They had a big feast with turkey, bread, cheese, grapes, carrots, celery and lots of cakes.  Everyone had to eat with their hands..  After the eating they played chess and did some donut jousting.  Everyone had a good time.  It was fun to help at the school with this and to see his whole class dressed up as something.  That was a great way to show the kids how they had Medieval Feasts.

Halloween 2012

Egg Drop!

It was the schools annual egg drop.  The kids make a contraption to put their egg in and then it is thrown off the roof of the school.  The kids have a lot of fun building it and then practicing it at home.  The theme this year was Dr. Seuss as you can read upside down on Taige's.
This is Taige before it was thrown...
...and it survived!!

Tacoma before his egg was thrown...
here it goes..
...and it survived,
It was fun to be able to watch their eggs thrown off the roof and to see their anticipation as they were opening them up to see if they survived.  Their faces were so excited.  Way to go guys!

Dam worker...

On one of the rainy days we toured the Hoover Dam.  It was pretty interesting and cool to see.  After all was said and done Talon declared to us that "he didn't want to be a dam worker".  We all laughed..

We all walked over the bridge.  Every time a diesel would drive by, you could feel the bridge move  and shake.  It was a little unsettling.
We also went to the Las Vegas Temple.  We walked around the grounds and enjoyed the spirit that we felt there.

Climbing the "Dixie"

For our annual Fall Break we headed down to St. George and then on to Lake Mead.  We didn't have
as great of weather as in the past, but still had a lot of fun.  We climbed all around the"Dixie" in St. George.  The kids found all sorts of holes to climb in and through.  Tessa found a place to hide.

Catching up...1st day of school

The kids were so excited for the 1st day of school.
Talon's 1st day of 1st grade.  He is loving school, the kids he gets to play with and his teacher.  At parent teacher conference I got a report of Talon slapping his teacher on the butt the second day of school...He said he thought it was funny...awesome.
Taige's 1st day of 4th grade.

Tessa finally got to go to school this year.  She couldn't wait.  She is going to pre-school 3 days a week for 2 hours.  That means I have the house to myself then.  I have never heard the house so quiet and I don't really like it.  I am trying to find things to keep me busy (things that I want to do).
Tacoma's 1st day of 6th grade.  It is his last year in Elementary school.  Just saying that makes me feel old.  They are all growing up way to fast.  I hope they all have a great year!!
